Cine Liberacion: A Day of Documentary & Discussion on Latin America

I had the great pleasure this weekend to take photographs on the closing day of the Cine Liberacion event, which took place at the RichMix in Shoreditch. The event, organised by Alborada and Movimientos featured 2 days of documentaries centred around the themes of exile, solidarity and culture in Latin America. The event was rounded off with live music from Alex Etchart, who performed some heartfelt renditions of songs by the late Mercedes Sosa, 'voice of Latin America'.

This was followed by a dramatic expression of Afro-Latin rhythms from Lokandes, an emerging London based band bringing together music and musicians from China, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Spain into a frenzy of energetic and original sounds.
